Luc-sur-Orbieu is a village of a little more than one thousand inhabitants and has a good infrastructure: excellent restaurant, well-stocked Épicerie (grocer), Pharmacy, doctor's office, post office, wineries as well as a small sports center with tennis courts and petanque area.

Just five kilometers north there is the small town of Lézignan with several shopping centres, petrol stations, car repair shops, bike shops, restaurants, bakeries, a renowned fish shop and a widely popular Wednesdays market.
